📖 History of Kustom Sportswear
The beginnings
Yoann Castellan, 32, a native of Toulon and a trained restaurateur, has been passionate about sport since a young age. He regularly plays football and rugby, two disciplines that have shaped his taste for team spirit and self-improvement.
Arriving in Montreal in 2013, he quickly realized that it was difficult for amateur athletes or people from modest backgrounds to acquire quality clothing at affordable prices.
Driven by his passion for sport and the desire to make physical activity accessible to everyone, he decided to create Kustom Sportswear. His ambition: to offer clothing for women, men and children, adapted to everyone's needs, regardless of budget, gender or age. For him, sport is a driver of pleasure, socialization and a bridge between cultures, communities and individuals.
The Pandemic Turning Point
After five years of activity, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the company to rethink its model. Thanks to the launch of its mask range, we saw market opportunities. In this context, Kustom Sportswear expanded its offering to meet the needs of businesses, by developing a range of promotional items and personalized clothing.
This diversification includes promotional products such as bags, pens, textiles, and many others, all designed to strengthen companies' brand image. At the same time, the company introduced a line of customizable cotton clothing (uniforms, workwear, etc.), allowing organizations to offer their teams a strong and consistent visual identity.
This repositioning demonstrates a constant commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
A New Chapter – October 2025
In October 2025, Kustom Sportswear takes a new step with the arrival of a new main partner:
HORIZON SPORT with its President Joel Vincent who becomes President of Kustom Sportswear Inc.
His involvement marks a real strategic turning point. With his entrepreneurial background, his passion for sport, and his commitment to accessibility, he becomes an essential driver in the company's development.
His arrival confirms the project's solidity and strengthens the initial ambition: to make Kustom Sportswear a key player in sportswear, custom corporate clothing, and promotional items. Together, the company and its new partner share a common vision: innovation, accessibility, and performance for both individuals and businesses.
Today and Tomorrow
Thanks to this partnership and an increasingly personalized offering, Kustom Sportswear establishes itself as a partner of choice to support athletes, associations, and businesses in their visual identity and performance.
The story continues: that of a company that combines passion, innovation, and ambition to create a sustainable and inspiring future.
